Passion and Team Work!

Being passionate on what I want to do at work, will give me motivation, energy and direction on what I want to accomplish. Without passion I am just doing my job. The difference is humungous.

However, the reality is not so simple. My passion should be combined with my team work. The team you work with may or may not be on the same page as you. It's important for me to realize that I have to be aware of this all the time.

My passion may be construed and interpreted as aggressiveness, which will increase the temperature in the room. When the temperature increases it is hard to accomplish things.

The lesson I learnt was "Passion is important for my drive and enthusiasm. However, I need to be aware and keep checks in place so that, my passion at work is not mis-interpreted."

It is not the presence of certain disturbing emotions that causes one to become a workaholic but the inability to confront, handle and deal with these emotions that is causing the problem. To understand better on what leads to one becoming workaholic and how to deal with it, do read the article at http://www.oneworldacademy.com/mainpage/gallery/publications/workaholism---psychological-or-emotional.php
